When you've been hairdressing since the tender age of 14, you're bound to be a rare talent.

Rachael’s career started in the eastern suburbs while she completed her 4 year apprenticeship at Manukau tech. By 21 she was already a salon manager. A few years later, she realised her dream of owning a salon so she purchased her first salon at age 25. For 22 years, alongside her 2 sisters she owned and operated a highly successful salon out East. 

Committed to providing a superior service for all of her customers, she’s continued to excel in the industry. “It’s inspiring to work along side of my 2 sisters in an industry I am truly passionate about”

Charlotte Aumatangi

With more than 20 years experience in hairdressing, and another 10 years in makeup artistry, Charlotte brings a wealth of creativity to Sisters on Wakelin.

Having worked full time under Rachael while completing her apprenticeship with Manukau Tech, she stepped up to the role of manager while Rachael was on maternity leave. And from there she pursued her passion for makeup artistry, training with the renowned Napoleon Make Up Academy.

Charlotte loves creating hair and makeup looks for special occasions to help women feel amazing for their big event. She also enjoys the day to day running of the salon and prides herself on making sure each and every client has a good experience.

Joanna Moore

After working for Rachael in the salon industry for 10 years Joanna (also known as Jo) had a vision of opening a boutique style salon with her two sisters to look after the community in a rapidly growing area .

Jo will be there to greet you and take care of all your bookings and enquiries , whether it’s over the phone, via email or face to face , she ensures that an experience with Sisters on Wakelin encompasses ease and pleasure!
